At Wake Forest University, we offer students two approaches to media studies:
- The first is an in-depth approach through the Critical and Creative Media Major. Media encompasses film, television, streaming media, new media, and much more. We work hard to meet the demands of a quickly changing culture by providing students with transferable skills to make them adaptable as thinkers, writers, and creators.
- The second is an interdisciplinary study of media through the Film and Media Studies Minor. This program includes courses from the Critical and Creative Media Major but also allows students to venture outside of the discipline and includes offerings from Art, History, Music, Sociology, Theatre and Dance, and language and culture departments.
Students at Wake Forest University may choose the major, the minor, or they are allowed to major in Critical and Creative Media and minor in Film and Media Studies. e great thing about film studies at Wake Forest University is that you don’t have to choose between them! You can major in Critical and Creative Media and minor in Film and Media Studies.
