The Peter Brunette Film Studies Scholarship

The Peter Brunette Film Studies Scholarship was established by the Dean Family Foundation in memory of Dr. Peter Brunette, Reynolds Professor of Film Studies.  The purpose of this scholarship is to award a scholarship of $10,000.00 per year to students minoring in Film and Media Studies or majoring in English.

Each spring, recipients are selected out of a pool of applicants (rising juniors and seniors) based on their proven need and commitment to the Wake Forest Film and Media Studies Program.  Recipients assist the Director of Film and Media Studies with the promotion of Film and Media Studies on campus while receiving the scholarship.

If a student who has received a scholarship ceases to pursue a minor (or major) in film studies or a major in English, the scholarship will no longer be available to that student.

Please contact the Director of Film and Media Studies if you are interested in receiving more information on the scholarship.
